01

Build the argument before asking for prose

Write a working thesis and list the evidence that could support or challenge it. Ask for questions about gaps in the reasoning before asking for polished paragraphs. A confident introduction cannot make up for a missing argument.

Check the rules for your course or publication. The allowed use of assistance may differ between brainstorming, sentence revision, and generating a draft. Keep track of what help you used when a disclosure is required.

02

Evaluate tools with the same short passage

Use a small task with criteria you can assess: preserve the claim, keep a citation attached to its source, identify a missing explanation, or improve a confusing transition. Compare the outputs against the original rather than rating fluency alone.

Jenni presents academic drafting and source-linked assistance; Paperpal presents academic writing and editing support. These are examples to investigate, not a tested ranking. Their official pages are linked below. Check the features and access conditions that matter to your actual task.

03

Verify sources before they enter the paper

Open each source yourself and confirm that it supports the sentence beside it. A real publication can still be cited for a claim it does not make. Keep quotations exact, distinguish interpretation from findings, and preserve qualifications.

Use rewriting for expression after the evidence and argument are sound. If a paragraph needs a new reason or missing data, return to research rather than disguising the gap with smoother wording.

A few useful answers.

Which AI is best for essay writing?+

Choose by the task and test the tool on your own short example. This guide offers evaluation criteria rather than an untested winner.

Can AI write a research paper from a topic alone?+

It may produce prose, but a topic alone does not supply verified evidence or a defensible argument. Research and source checking remain necessary.

Can I use AI to improve my own sentences?+

Where your rules permit it, sentence-level feedback can help. Review each change and keep any required disclosure.
